Joanette Michelle "Tee Joan" Jones

Joanette "Tee Joan" Michelle Jones received her wings on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at the age of 57. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Joanette was a 1983 graduate of John F. Kennedy High School. She matriculated to Southern University at New Orleans where she earned a bachelor's degree in business in 1990. Joanette was a former employee of the United States Post Office where she was recognized as Employee of the Month. She was later employed for many as a new employee's trainer at Walmart before she was gainfully employed with Home Depot. As a dedicated and exceptional employee, in 2017 Home Depot acknowledged her as Employee of the Year. Beloved daughter of the late Alonzo W. Jones, Betty J. Fleming, and Leon S. Fleming, Jr. Loving sister of Rena (Darwin) Walker, Leon S. (Rondalyn) Fleming III and the late Dionne Jones; she also loved Psytia F. (Aaron) Jordan and Charissa F. (Michael) Gibson as siblings. Devoted aunt of Alexis Darensburg, Jalonna Pajeaud, and Journee McCorkle. Granddaughter of the late Harrison and Sarah Young John Henry (Dorothy) Stanford, Rev. Samuel Adam Jones, Sr., Eloise Jones, Wilson and Aline Bowie. Cherished niece of David Stanford, Donald Jones, Dorothy Favorite (her godmother), and the late Rosie Bowie, Ruth Yonta, Ronald Jones, Samuel Adam Jones, Sr. (her godfather), and Harrison Young, Jr. Joanette is also survived by a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, 1000 Walkertown Way, Marrero, LA on Friday, June 16, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Thomas J.
