John Fourcade Obituary

John Lester Fourcade Sr. passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2014. He was 80 years old. John is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Joyce Musso Fourcade. Loving father of Betty Foret (Auggie), Barbara Jaskot (Stan), Jean Marie Fourcade, John Fourcade Jr. (Shari), and the late Peggy Ann Fourcade. Adored by his grandchildren Bridget (Jeff), A.J., Steven, John III, Brooke, Stanley Jr., and Matthew, and his great-grandchildren, Cameron, Tristan, Bailey, Lily, and Kingston. Loving brother of Thelma "Sister" Cusachs (George). Brother in law of Doris, Lynn, Mary (Billy), Joe (Blondel), Carol (Steve), and the late Anthony. Preceded in death by his parents, Etienne and Anena Donnell Fourcade, and brothers, Gene, Jack, and Bob. John will be greatly missed by numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was born in New Orleans, grew up in the St. Rock neighborhood, and has resided in Kenner for the past 57 years. John proudly served his country in the United States Army, and later retired from NOPSI and RTA. John was a member of the Classic Mustang Club and the MS. Mustang Club. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial from Divine Providence, 1000 North Starrett Road, Metairie, on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 12:00 Noon. Visitation will be held at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, Metairie, on Friday evening, October 10, 2014 from 6:00 until 10:00, and again at church on Saturday from 10:00 until Mass time. Interment will follow in Lakelawn Park, New Orleans. An online guestbook is available at www.leitzeaganfuneralhome.com.
