John Stinger Obituary

STINGER John Stinger III, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Monday, July 30, 2012. He was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Slidell. "If thee are ever going to love thou, love thou now, while thou can know the sweet and tender feelings which from true affection flow. Love thee now while I am living. Do not wait until thou is gone and then have it chiseled in marble, sweet words on ice cold stone. If you have tender thoughts of thee, please tell thee now. If you wait until thee is sleeping, never to awaken, there will be death between and I won't hear thou then. So if you love thee, even a little bit, let thee know it while thou is living so thee can treasure it." JS III Arrangements by Honaker Funeral Home, Inc., Slidell, LA.

May our Heavenly Father comfort you, during your time of grieve. I have known John all my life. We lived in the same area and were cousins. I had a pleasant surprise of talking with him last month, during his visit in California. We reconnected and I will cherish that conversation. I will keep you in my prayers.

I want to thank everyone that was a friend to my brother, especially as he got older. I still can't believe he is really gone.

WISDOM WITH FRIENSHIP

I MET A MAN SOME TIME AGO
WHO WALKED INTO MY OFFICE WITH HAIR THE COLOR OF SNOW

A WELL DRESSED GENTLEMAN EVERY WORD HE SPOKE WAS SO KIND
AS I GREW TO KNOW HIM HIS VISIT BROUGHT MORE TO ME THAN JUST PASSING OF TIME

HE HAS TREASURED ME WITH HIS KNOWELDEGE OF MANY YEARS
AS HE SPOKE I LISTENED TO ALL OF HIS VERBAL GIFTS THROUGH MY SILENT TEARS

HE TAUGHT ME NEVER TO JUDGE BY LOOKS BUT ONLY BY ACTIONS AND NOT TO FEAR

TO LAY GUILT ON THE ONE WHO FORCES IT AND TO LOVE THE ONES WHO LOVE YOU BACK WITH-OUT QUESTION WITH-OUT FLACK

TOO NOT LIVE IN REGRET BUT TO REGRET NOT TO LIVE

FOR ONCE YOUR LIFE HAS PASSED YOU BY
YOUR AGE HAS THEN ARRIVED

TO BE THE BEST YOU CAN BE AND TO LEARN THROUGH LIFES EXPERIENCES AND NOT TO STOP BECAUSE YOU FAIL THE FIRST TIME

I AM GRATEFUL FOR HIS FRIENDSHIP! HIS UNSELFISH KINDNESS HAS MADE ME MUCH WISER IN MY PRIME

HIS ACQUAINTANCE CAME LATE IN MY LIFE BUT I WOULD RATHER TO HAVE HAD A TRUE FRIEND FOR A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME
THAN TO HAVE MISSED MY FRIENSHIP AT ALL WITH MR. STINGER MY TRUE FRIEND IN THE END WHO WAS SO KIND

I will never forget you & I will alway's love you dearly. xoxoxoxo
