Juanita Veillon St. Amand, age 78, on Saturday, December 25, 2004 at 9:35 A.M. at St. Anne General Hospital in Raceland, La. Funeral 11AM Tuesday, December 28, 2004 at Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Opelousas, La. Visiting Monday 5PM until 10PM. Reopen Tuesday 8AM. A Rosary will be prayed 6:30 Monday, December 27, 2004. Interment in Bellevue Memorial Park, Opelousas, La. Officiated by Fr. Angelo Cremaldi. Survived by son, Stephen St. Amand of Mandeville, LA., daughter, Christine D'Arceangelo, Raceland, LA., brother, Charles Veillon, Opelousas, LA., 4 sisters, Irma Savoy and Claire Landry, both of Opelousas, LA. and Josephine McLean and Catherine Veillon, both of Baton Rouge, LA. Also survived by 5 grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents Edovic D. Veillon and Altha Rosalie Mornhinveg; 3 brothers: Edward, Earl and Joel Veillon and her husband Alex St. Amand. Mrs. St. Amand was a retired Registered Nurse, was a member of the Louisiana State Board of Nursing and the American Nursing Association. Mrs. St. Amand retired from Opelousas General Hospital with over 40 years of service as a Surgery Nurse Supervisor. Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas, in charge of arrangements. 337-942-2638.
