Leon G. Colletti

Leon G. Colletti, 90, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, August 13, 2024. Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home was entrusted with his services. Leon dedicated his life to his career, in the fields of microbiology and chemistry, being well known in hospital laboratories across New Orleans. He is survived by his nephew Michael Farley (Janie), great niece Megan Farley Hanna (Jeremy), great nephew Nicholas Farley (Brian), great-grand nephews Ryan & Michael Hanna and lifelong friend Darlene Wiener. He is preceded in death by his parents Angelo & Antonina (nee Patello) Colletti, and siblings Marie Colletti Farley, Lena Colletti, & Angelo Colletti, Jr. He is survived by his nephew Michael Farley (Janie), great niece Megan Farley Hanna (Jeremy), great nephew Nicholas Farley (Brian), great-grand nephews Ryan & Michael Hanna and lifelong friend Darlene Wiener. The family extends their gratitude to his care team, Toni Brown, Harriet Lacoume, Marie Poston and ACG Hospice for helping to keep him home in his final months. Keeping with the deceased's wishes, a private service and burial have taken place. Donations can be made, in his memory, to St. Joseph Abbey of Covington.
