There are so many things I remember about Ms. Loretta until its extremely hard to decide where to begin. My memories go a long, long way back, the early '50's to be exact when it seemed St. Luke was ruled by big, tall women (Ms. Loretta, Aunt Myrtle, Aunt Zenobia, Ms. Emily and Ms. Carrie). They always seem to be in control. We had a special relationship, she could say anything to me and she gave me the same privilege as long as we kept it respectful...and I never lost respect for her. I know you will miss her, I certainly will, but if we truly believe in God and his works then we know we will see her again. So. in the future when you really start missing her and feeling down, think of all the good times, then think of all the bad times and last have a good laugh. My prayers are with you always.

MamaLo is now safe in the hands of God. She was very nice to me anytime I was in her presence. I'm sorry I couldn't be there, but my thoughts were with you. May the love of God give you strength and comfort.

While talking to my mom today, she mentioned that Miss Loretta had passed. I fondly remember her holding up her post as an usher in St. Luke (smile). I'm sure she's now holding up her post up in heaven! Cherish the memories because she lived a long and blessed life. I'll be praying for the family and know that God can wipe all tears away.

We are sending our most heartfelt sympathy to the family. Eula, stay strong, and He will see you through this difficult time. I am sorry, but I will not be able to be there with you, but you will be in my prayers. Mamalo has joined my mother in heaven, and they are now our guardian angels. I know it hurts, and to be honest the pain never goes away, but as the days pass, it does gets bearable. Hang in there.
