Mary Eden Hatcher

Mary Eden Whisby Hatcher peacefully transitioned into heaven at her home on Thursday, May 3, 2018, at the age of 81. She leaves to cherish her memories her husband of 63 years, Johnny R. Hatcher Sr.; her beloved children, Sheryl Whisby, Charmaine Hatcher, Catherine H. Walker (Claude), Wendell Hatcher (Glenda), Darryl Hatcher (Patricia), Reginald Hatcher, John Hatcher Jr., Lyndon Hatcher (Darlene), Marvin Hatcher (Kizzy); a devoted daughter/granddaughter, Cravionne Hatcher; her sisters, Constance Graham, Ida Whisby, Margaret W. Billue, Willie Bell W. Nichols and Jacquelyn W. Brown (Matthew) all of Macon, GA. She sadly leaves behind 26 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and a beautiful host of family, cousins, nephews, nieces, in-laws and friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Dionne Hatcher; her parents, Willie Bell and Margaret Whisby; her sisters, Dorothy Whisby, Carolyn W. Williams and Mattie W. Billue; her brother, Marvin Whisby; grandson, Julian Hatcher; daughter-in-law, Melvina Hatcher and her father & mother-in-law, James and Maxie Hatcher. Relatives and friends of the family, pastors, officers and members of First African 6th District, Celebration Church and St. John Missionary Baptist Church, also employees of Boeing, Pitt Ohio and Sewerage & Water Board of New Orleans are invited to attend the Celebration of Life honoring Mrs. Mary Hatcher at St. John Missionary B.C., 8540 Panola St., New Orleans, La, on Saturday, May 12, 2018, at 10:00 am.
