Pascal Joseph "Pat" Scanio Jr.

Pascal "Pat" Joseph Scanio Jr. passed away, on Saturday March 24, 2018 at the age of 56, with his family at his side. Pat was born in New Orleans and was the son of the late Pascal Joseph Scanio Sr. and Dorothy Young Scanio. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 35 years, Susan Schwary Scanio, his loving son Pascal Joseph Scanio III, his sister Simone Scanio, Mother-in-law Sheryl Schwary, Brother-in-laws Ronald and Richard Schwary, Nieces Nicole Scanio Arnold and Tanya Scanio Cook (goddaughter), Nephew Timothy Scanio, Aunt Carrie Lerille, Aunt Marie Scanio, great nieces and nephews, and many cousins. He is also survived by a second godchild, Bunni Lerille. Pat was a professional auto detailer and was the owner of Pat Scanio's Professional Detailing. He was a resident of Marrero, Gretna, and Belle Chasse. He was an avid fishermen, golfer and loved his Saints and LSU. Pat read the Bible daily and his faith carried him through the past several years. Anyone who knew Pascal loved him and he touched the lives of everyone he met. He was always the life of the party and he will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Pat had a strong love of four legged pals, especially Bali, Yogi, Teddy and Ruckus. In lieu of flowers please donate in Pascal's memory to Animal Rescue New Orleans (ARNO) or the SPCA Animal Shelter. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the memorial service on Friday April 6th at 12 pm at St. Anthony Church, 924 Monroe St, Gretna, LA 70053.
