Randall was a bright light and I feel so lucky to have experienced his love and support. He took great care of me and my kids when we were struggling through a difficult time. I appreciate him so much, and I am so sorry for those of you closest to him. He was such a kind soul, and he will live in my memory.

I moved to New Orleans in 2006, after spending most of my life in California and other areas of the country. Randall was one of the first people that I met, and he was my hairdresser, but so much more than that. He was a dear and true friend to me, and I can only hope that I meant as much to him as he did to me all these years. Most of my family members were also fortunate enough to spend time with him, and all of us are so stricken by this terrible loss. We have been in Puerto Rico with family for a couple of months, and I'm not on any social media, so we didn't know that Randall had died. Please know that he was truly one of the kindest, most wonderful people I have ever known, and I am missing him terribly. I cherish every moment that I shared with him over almost 20 years, and will always be grateful that I had the privilege of being his friend. My heart is sharing in the grief of all of you who lost him. Linda Thompson

Ms Avis, I went to high school with your son. We haven´t seen each other in many years, unfortunately. I just wanted to tell you that the most memorable qualities about Randall were his incredible kindness and his great sense of humor. He was a rare, wonderful human, even back in high school, and the world will be a little darker without his light. My heartfelt sympathy and condolences for you and your family.
