Apart from my father Dr. Davis was the finest man I have ever known and it was my honor to work as one of his team leaders on the Davis Program.

My heartfelt sympathies go out to Bob's family. He was so ahead of his time in psychiatry. I was privileged to be his first RN when he opened "The Davis Unit" at River Oaks Hospital. He taught me more than he could ever know. Those in need of his care were fortunate to have his brilliant mind working with them. Rest in Peace, Bob.

Bob was a great man whose influence was enjoyed by many, myself included. My sincerest condolences to all who loved him and had the pleasure of his company, the benefit of his wit, and the joy of his love. He will be missed by all who knew him, and the world needs more such noble, wise, and caring human beings. Thank you, Bob, for the enduring kindnesses and boundless joy you brought into the world.
