Ruby Brumfield Obituary

Ruby Bess VanHees Brumfield, a devoted wife and mother, on Saturday, October 2, 2004. Age 81 years. Beloved wife of the late John C. Brumfield, Sr. Daughter of the late William Arthur VanHees and the late Ruby Bess Warnke VanHees. Loving mother of Vicki Ann B. Boden of Ft. Worth, TX, John C. Brumfield, Jr. of Kenner, LA, Robert A. Brumfield of Russellville, AK, Deborah B. Johnson of York, PA and Sandra B. Paxton of Dallas, TX. Sister of J.W. VanHees of Metairie, LA, Marie V. Comeaux of Decatur, TX and Janet V. Scaruffi of Metairie, LA. Also survived by 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend funeral services on Tuesday, October 5, 2004 at 11:00 AM at St. John's Episcopal Church (2109 17th Street, Kenner, LA) Interment will follow services in Restlawn Park Cemetery, Avondale, LA. Visitation on Tueday, 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Akula Foundation, c/o Canon Hospice (1221 S. Clearview Pkwy, Jefferson, LA 70121) in memory of Mrs. Brumfield. MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, INC. in charge of arrangements.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. We loss our Mom, Aunt Elma, in August 2002 and know what you are going through. Hope the best for all of you. I am Uncle Melvin's daughter, and wish I could see all of you one day. Barbara and W.R. Bryan.
