Mrs. Ruth Vergona Hardy, a homemaker and food service worker, died at home in Hammond, LA on Tuesday, October 18, 2005. Age 73 years. A native of New Orleans, LA and resident of Chalmette, LA. Preceded in death by husband, Kenneth Joseph Hardy. Mother of Katherine H. Eaves, Slidell, LA, Judith H. Jacob, Chalmette, LA, Deborah H. Torres, Rigolets, LA and Kim H. Melinie, Chalmette, LA. Sister of Joseph William Vergona, Sr., Aligers, LA, Anthony Henry Vergona, Marrero, LA and Dorothy V. Treuil, New Orleans, LA. Also survived by 4 grandchildren. A Memorial Service was held at First United Methodist Church, Ponchatoula, LA on Saturday, October 22, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. You may contact Debbie at 504-453-9980 for more information.
