Scott Moore Obituary

MOORE Scott Moore, age 45, of Austin, Texas, died Sunday, July 15, 2012. He was born to Alan Joseph Moore and the late Diana Yergensen in Lompoc, California. Scott attended the University of Texas business school in Austin. While in Austin he cultivated his love for music and the guitar, attending many of Austin's historic live music venues. Upon graduation, Scott chose to pursue a career in high-tech sales and worked for various companies that ranged in size from small enterprises to the largest of the Fortune 500. Throughout his career, he deeply valued and appreciated the mentorship and example set by his older brother Andy. While working in Austin in the late 90s, he met his wife Karen by fortuitous encounter at the Austin airport. In Karen, Scott found a kindred spirit that shared his love for live music and willingness to experience new places. Scott and Karen shared many adventures together having lived in Austin, Dallas, Boston, California and Seattle. It was in Seattle that Scott's daughter Alexandria was born. In Alex, Scott discovered his true calling as a caring, attentive, loving and very proud father. Prior to leaving Seattle, Scott pursued one of his life-long dreams of writing and recording his own music. Scott and Karen ultimately relocated back to Austin to be closer to family and pursue new career opportunities. Scott will be remembered as a devoted and caring grandson, son, brother, husband, father, brother-in-law, uncle, mentor and true friend to all who were blessed to know him. Scott is survived by his wife, Karen Lalla Moore; daughter, Alexandria Moore; grandmother, Clara Horne; father, Alan Moore; step-mother, Nancy Moore; and brothers: Andy Moore (Alexia Moore) and Arthur Moore. My deepest sympathy to the Moore family on the loss of a wonderful husband, father, brother and friend. May God keep this family in his hands and help them as they adjust to life without his physical presence. Please assure them that he is seated with The Lord and he will be their guardian angel.
