Theryl "Houseman" DeClouet passed from this life on Sunday, July 15, 2018, at West Jefferson Medical Center, Marrero, LA surrounded by loved ones. A native of New Orleans, Houseman lived in Chicago, IL, Denver, CO, Minneapolis, MN; then returned to New Orleans for the last 6 years of his life. He was a worldwide entertainer and vocalist with a unique and gifted singing voice traveling abroad to Japan, Hawaii, Europe and many other places around the globe. Best known for being the lead vocalist for Galactic Funkband. His interests include studying history, watching western movies, and he was an avid reader. Most importantly, he had a passionate love for his family, especially his two caring daughters. Preceded in death by his mother and father, Fred and Margie DeClouet. Loving and devoted father of Charisma "Chrissi" DeClouet and Divinity "Missy" DeClouet. Brother of Claire DeClouet, David DeClouet, and his late brother George DeClouet. Devoted grandfather of Charon Burton and Jordan Williams. He leaves behind a host of caring nieces, nephew, and friends. Family, friends, and fans are all invited to attend Houseman's Memorial and Celebration of Life at Tipitina's, 501 Napoleon Ave New Orleans 70115, Tuesday July 24, 2018 from 6 pm-9 pm.
