Walter E. Eccles

ECCLES Walter E. Eccles, Sr. passed away on Thursday, April 15, 2010. He was 72 years, a native of Chicago, IL and resided in Marrero, LA. Survivors include his former wife and caregiver, Barbara Boudreaux Eccles; sons and daughters-in-law: Walter E. Eccles, Jr. (Annette), Keith J. Eccles (Lauren) and Eric M. Eccles; grandchildren: Brooke, Tyler, Kyle, Jake, Luke, Joey, Gage, Hundley and Bailey Eccles; and brother and sister-in-law: Frederick H. Eccles, Jr. (Johnny). Preceded in death by his parents, Irma Savoie Eccles, Frederick H. Eccles, Sr. and his sister, Clara Pudgy Eccles. He served his country as a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, was an avid sportsman who not only loved the outdoors but also enjoyed watching team sports and was a member of the Union at National Gypsum where he worked for many years. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Community Care Hospice and Drs. Simonson, Staub, Elliot and Hutchinson for their compassionate care. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass which will be celebrated in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, L.L.C., 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Monday, April 19, 2010 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Restlawn Park Cemetery in Avondale. Visitation will take place at the Funeral Home on Sunday from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM and Monday from 8:00 AM to 11 AM.
