On April 24, 2021, Ward Anthony Gonzalez, at the age of 38, went to be with his Heavenly Father and those beloved family members who went before him; including his father, Ward Anthony Grant, step-father Steven Remble Sr.; grandfathers Roy Gonzalez and Robert Grant; uncles Glen Thomas and Darryl Grant and brother-in-law Wilbert Bias III. He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife and soulmate Kavon Colmore Gonzalez, daughters Keira Rileigh Gonzalez and Kylie Rayne Gonzalez; mother Roi L. Gonzalez-Remble (Dana), grandmothers: Stell Gonzalez, Lorraine Ann Grant, Helen Ruth Henderson, and Joycelyn Henderson; brother Steven Remble Jr.; mother-in-law Diane Colmore Bias, father-in-law Wil Bias Jr.; godmother Jauvonda Cutno, aunts: Deon Alsandor, Kijuana Miller, Patricia Hubbard, Sylvia Colmore, and Darlene Remble Green; uncles: Cary and Robert Grant, Rev. Nathaniel Colmore Jr (Izetta), and Reggie Miller; brothers-in-law: Cortney Colmore, Jarmone and Jamal Miller, and Darren and Destin Ruffin; sisters-in-law: Ashley Bias, Aisha Bias and Efia Bias; paternal figures Edwin Shorty and Darren Miller; God-children Kayin and Kaleb Williams; childhood friends Kendrick Williams, Troy West, Kevin Picou, and Bruce Williams; and a host of other relatives and friends. Ward was a graduate of Warren Easton High School and was employed as a supervisor by Associated Wholesale Grocers. While we will miss his presence in our daily life, we invite relatives and friends of the family; also employees of AWG to join us in celebrating the remarkable life of Ward Anthony Gonzalez. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2021 for 10:00 a.m. at Franklin Avenue Baptist Church, 8282 I-10 Service Road S., New Orleans, LA 70126.
