Unfortunately, I am just hearing about the passing of Ms. Dillon. She was my mentor @XUP. Ms. Dillon took me under her wing when I was in the 10th grade. I got involved in the Media Center w/Ms. Turner and I soared ever since. Ms. Dillon poured a little more love into me because she saw greatness in me. She made me attend Dillard University which was the best decision. I love everything Dillard!!! So happy I graduated three (3) months before Hurricane Katrina impacted the city. It's a great feeling walking down the Avenue of the Oaks and knowing my mentor and I have that bond. Ms. Dillon made me live on campus my freshman year. Another great decision in which none of her decisions my parents fought her on. Without Ms. Dillon's guidance, I don't know the route I would have taken but I do know because of her persistence, genuine love, and positive representation I will always give her the credit for being a positive influence in my life when she did not have to be! May God bless you all and I am sorry for your lost. Ms. Dillon was a shining star!!! I love you too, Ms. TurnerXUP C/O2000; DU C/O2005

Dear Tony, Kim and Sylvia I am so sorry to hear of Yo's passing. We spent many a night on Campus Blvd.playing cards, your Daddy use to say about me that "I could hold a dollar until the eagle hollow" because I would not take any money when I baby sat with you so they could go out. Duke use to say I was conservative and fall out laughing after saying such. I left home in 1966 and most of the people on Campus Blvd I would not know. Keep in touch with us, Ronnie and I and the twins. If you or your Aunt Sylvia need anything please let me know. I will keep you all in my prayers.I'm not sure how many of the original neighbors are still on Campus Blvd.in the Park. Please stay in touch and be careful. The Big Easy has really changed since I left .

To Tony Dillion and the family of Yolande Dillion, my deepest condolences and sympathy to you in your time of sorrow. I have been a neighbor and friend since 1958, when we moved into the home next to the Dillions. Many years have passed, since then and I still cherish our relationship. Much love to the family.
RIP Yo.

My sincere condolences to the son and family of Mrs. Dillon. She was Miss Stanley when I knew her at E.H. Phillips School. I was in elementary grades then. I remember her as being a pretty lady, and very nice. May she rest in peace in God's loving arms.
