July 23, 2023

This is Tim Maloney in Richmond, VA. I am Rose Mary Kern Maloney's son. I remember visiting Dennis and his family in Council Bluffs about the time he retired. I met his wife and daughters. One was about to go to law school, I think. I went to a College World Series Baseball game while there. I still have my CWS baseball cap I bought at the game. It was so hot sitting in the stands!! White cotton balls from trees floated around the ballpark. The coach of the University of Virginia's baseball team, Brian O'Connor, is from Council Bluffs. RIP Dennis. My sympathies to his family.

Denny taught me a lot about work ethic and was gracious enough to give me my first job even though I had no idea what I was doing. He even took the time to teach me how to drive a standard transmission and fix my car when he didn't need to do any of that as my boss. He will be missed. My condolences to all family and friends.

Thoughts and Prayers to you Cheryl and family. Den played a big part in my life, from growing up neighbors in Neola to him taking the time to teach me how to work on big trucks. It was because of Denny that I became a top mechanic at Peterbilt . Thank You . God Bless / Craig&Mary Lewis
