Father Mac - I just googled your name and saw your obituary. I am so deeply saddened. The last time I spoke with you we were going to get together but time slipped by. I will never forget the fun times - Canada, parties at my house, you playing football with my brothers and their friends in the street in front of my house and my brothers' friends almost keeling over when they found out you were a priest - LOL. I will always be grateful for your kindness when my father was sick back in 1979 and you came by the house twice - in February and again unexpectedly on May 13th when my dad had you give him his last rites - he passed away 4 days later and you celebrated his Mass with us with an amazing Eulogy. Thank you for all you did on Earth and may you rest in peace.

I am writing in loving memory of a wonderful priest. I knew him through his service at St. Al's and All Saints. At that time one of his favorite phrases was "No problem." He went out of his way to minister to youth (e.g., participating in Young Christian Students and celebrating mass at the Academy of St. Aloysius). Whenever I hear "Come on People Now, Smile on Your Brother," I think of him.
When it occurred to me that Father McLaughlin would have celebrated the 50 year anniversary of his ordination in May, I tried to find out where I might send a card, only to learn that he had died. 'Well done, good and faithful servant."

We were so saddened to learn of Father Don's passing. He was such a blessing to St. Helen's parish...a warm and caring man. We were so grateful for the comfort he brought to our family at the time of the passing of my Dad and then a few months later, my Aunt, in 2007. He will always be remembered. Rest in peace, Father Don.

Father Don was a great priest. I got to know him a little during his tenure at Saint Helen's where I appreciated his guidance with my faith journey. Rest in peace, Don.

You were such an example of what Christ wanted us to be. You were always there to help.
When we were making repairs to our house, you would say morning mass. Come to help us then leave to say midday mass. You always did it with a smile. We greatly appreciated everything you did to help us and others.
Our children who are in their 30's and 40 's still talk about your visits from their infancy.
You have touch so many people and worked so hard .
You will be missed. Our condolences to your family

One of my Uncles, my father's brother, passed on Sunday morning. He baptized me, gave me my first Holy Communion, officiated over my wedding. We also had the honor of having him baptizing my son, officiated over his first Holy Communion and my daughter's first Holy Communion. He was very kind to me and my sister after my father passed and even came down to givr my father last rights, even when he was having a major heart surgery the next day. God bless you Donny. Rest in Peace
