James Patrick, Jr., "Jim," 79, of Carlstadt for 31 years and formerly of Long Island, N.Y. passed away at home on January 11, 2013. Mr. Donnelly was born in Brooklyn, NY. He served in the Navy during the Korean War. For 40 years he worked for Swissair in Clifton and retired in 1996. Jim was a parishioner of St. Joseph's R.C. Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus St. Francis of Assisi #4524 and the Carlstadt V.F.W. Post 3149. Beloved husband of Geraldine A. (nee O'Malley) Donnelly. Loving father of Anne Hall and her husband Frank, Michele "Mickie" Harris and her husband William, Patricia Cerami and her husband Marc, John Donnelly, Robert Donnelly, Maureen Reidy and her husband Bernard and the late James Patrick Donnelly, III. Cherished grandfather of Christopher and Sean Sosa, Frank Hall, Jr., Erin, Maggie and Patrick Harris, Joseph and Thomas Cerami and Siobhan and Seamus Reidy. Devoted son of the late James Patrick and Cecilia Donnelly. Caring brother of Theresa Harris, and the late Catherine Lyons, Margaret Rasser, Florence King, Rosemary Jennings, Cecilia Manning. Dear brother-in-law of Marygrace Mullaly, Theresa O'Malley, Thomas McGuire and the late Ralph Harris, Albert Lyons, Hank Rasser, Robert King, William Jennings, Robert Manning, John Mullaly and Patricia McGuire. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Kimak Funeral Home, 425 Broad Street, Carlstadt on Monday, January 14, 2013 at 9 AM and from St. Joseph's R.C. Church, East Rutherford at 9:30 AM. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Visitation Saturday evening 7-9 PM and Sunday 2-4, 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph's Church Restoration Fund, 120 Hoboken Rd., East Rutherford, NJ 07073.
