KUDLACIK Joseph L., 56, of Clifton passed away on June 8, 2011. Born in Passaic, he lived all of his life in Clifton. Known to family and friends as "Whiskey Joe" or "Joe the Plumber", Joe was a Plumber for St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center in Paterson for the past 17 years. A member of the Slovak Catholic Sokol Assembly # 162 since 1982, Joe played Santa Claus during the Christmas Season for 26 years, and was a member of the North End Slovak Citizens Club in PA. Joe was also a member of the Veteran's Club in Haledon where he served as a Trustee for 5 years, and enjoyed Bowling, Deep Sea Fishing and Hunting. In 1973, Joe achieved the rank of Eagle Scout with Boy Scout Troop #40 at St. Brendan's R.C. Church, Clifton. Beloved son of Matthew of Clifton and the late Sophie (Murawski) who died in 2009. Loving brother of Monica Berdnik and her husband Passaic County Sheriff Richard Berdnik of Clifton, Matthew of Clifton, Robert and his wife Lisa of Parsippany, and Marc of Belleville. Dear uncle of Ashley, Ryan, Alyssa and Kevin Berdnik, and Adam, Emily and Natalie Kudlacik. Funeral Monday 8:45 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at St. Andrew the Apostle R.C. Church, Clifton. Cremation, East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton. Visiting Saturday 7-9 PM and Sunday 4-9 PM. Hey Joey, I guess you're with uncle Ben now, say hi to him for us. Now we are going to miss the BOTH of you!!!! Life is not fair, You just meet and start getting to know your relatives and than they are taken away too soon. We will treasure the short time with you and the memories you gave us. Just want to say ur going to be missed buddy, A great friend and true gentlemen, We went away fishing to Canada had a blast you never let me down when i needed you to work on my house and you always left with a container of food lol.
