Michael Sim Obituary

SIM Michael, 82, of Villanova, Pennsylvania formerly of Fairfield, NJ, died Saturday at Bryn Mawr Hospital, Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. Born in Clifton, NJ he resided there until moving to Fairfield in 1962. He graduated Clifton High School and attended Fairleigh Dickinson University, Rutherford, NJ. During the World War II Era he served in the United States Navy in the Pacific Theatre of Operations. He had been a mechanical lab technician at Curtis-Wright Corporation until their closing and then worked at General Dynamics Corporation until retiring in 1993. He was predeceased by his wife the former Helen Mary Liscinsky; two brothers, John and Peter Sim and four sisters, Marie Sim, Betty Valenz, Ann Dzubay and Irene Duch. He is survived by two sons, Peter M. Sim and his wife, Diane of Sparta, NJ and Michael J. Sim and his wife, Marcy of Torrance, CA; one daughter, Ellen S. Snyder and her husband, Jeff of Villanova, PA; and nine grandchildren. Funeral Services are 9:15 AM Wednesday from Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 515 Lexington Ave., Clifton and 10 AM at St. Michael's Cathedral, Passaic. Interment to follow at St. Michael's Cemetery, So. Hackensack. Visiting hours Tuesday 5-8 PM. Parastas 5:30 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association Greater NJ Chapter, 400 Morris Avenue, Suite 251, Denville, NJ 07834.
