Rick Garbaccio Obituary

GARBACCIO
Rick, age 57, of Glen Rock, died Monday, April 9, 2012 surrounded by his family at the Valley Hospital in Ridgewood. Born in Paterson, Rick grew up in Waldwick graduating from Waldwick High School in 1973. Rick has been a resident of Glen Rock for the past 35 years. He was the owner of Rick's Maintenance Service, a commercial cleaning company in Glen Rock. Surviving is his loving wife of 37 years, Kathleen (nee Van Wetering), and his devoted children, April and Ricky, Jr. Rick also leaves his mother, Marilyn (nee Miller) and his brothers, Ernest, Cliff, Dino and their families. Rick was predeceased by his father Ernest Garbaccio in 2008. Family and friends fondly remember their times together spent at the beach, boating and skiing. The Garbaccio family invite family and friends to a time of visiting on Wednesday, 6:00 until 8:30 PM, followed by the funeral service at 8:30 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005 or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Greater NJ Chapter, 2 University Plaza, Suite 312, Hackensack, NJ 07601.
