Janis Patton, 67, of Napoleon passed away at her home on Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2025.
She was born Oct. 27, 1957, in Napoleon to Jack and Sally (Detmer) Liddle.
Janis was Executive Director of Henry County F.I.S.H for many years. She enjoyed canning, (attempted gardening), and liked to visit the farmers market and garage sales. She especially enjoyed doing arts and crafts; knitting and sewing.
She was always cracking jokes to make other people laugh and tried to be helpful to others. Most of all, Janis loved her family, especially her grandchildren, and her faithful fur companion, her dog Boo.
She is survived by her two daughters, Crystal (Sean) Schnitkey and Amanda (Chuck) Sauber; five grandchildren, Christian, Breanna, Maddie, Kadince and Jack; her mother, Sally Rettig; and siblings, David Rettig, Gene Liddle; and step-siblings; as well as lots of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jack.
Visitation will be Monday, Aug. 18, 2025, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Walker-Hoening Mortuary, 333 W. Main St., Napoleon, Ohio 43545. Graveside services will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery, Napoleon.
