Ronald Sabata Obituary

Ronald L. "Ron" Sabata, 81, of Lincoln, passed away on Jan. 11, 2023. Ron was born on May 30, 1941, in David City, to Frank and Evangeline (Mazanec) Sabata. Ron served in the Nebraska Army National Guard for 20 years. He was a realtor for Caldwell Banker and raised registered black Angus cattle. Ron was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, past president of Nebraska Realtor's Association, served as director for National Realtor's Association and was very active in the Nebraska Angus Cattle Association. Family members include his brother Val (Deanna) Sabata; nephew, Brian (Sarah) Sabata; sister, Marlene (Joe) Rerucha; and niece and nephew, Jennifer Siefkes and Mark Rerucha. Memorials are suggested to the donor's choice. Online condolences may be shared at roperandsons.com. Rosary is at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 16, at Roper and Sons South Lincoln Chapel, 3950 Hohensee Drive, Lincoln. Mass of Christian Burial is at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 7900 Trendwood Drive, Lincoln. Burial is at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, at the Omaha National Cemetery.
