Annie Mauck Obituary
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 9, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home conducted by Chaplain Susan O'Kelly. Burial will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Mauck was born January 14, 1927 in Huntly, VA, daughter of the late John Daniel Chadwell and Mattie Rutherford Chadwell.
She retired as a CNA and was a member of Marlow Heights Baptist Church. She was married to the late William H. Mauck.
Surviving are two daughters, Jean Mauck of Front Royal and Judy Tharp and husband David of Waynesboro, VA; one brother, Lawrence Chadwell of Huntly, VA; and two grandchildren, Jenny Thomas of Blacksburg, VA and Andy Thomas of Front Royal, VA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 W. Cork Street, Winchester, VA 22601 or to the Humane Society of Warren County, 1245 Progress Drive, Front Royal, VA 22630.
The family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to the caring and generous staff at AmericaHouse in Front Royal.

I can't imagine anyone ever meeting Ms. Annie that didn't love her right away. She was from the old world of right and wrong - and her way was to follow the right way. She is a kind and gentle soul who will always shine in our hearts and remembered for her: perfect hair, lipstick, Red Door perfume, and a kind, encouraging, word to all she knew. Her journey has been long and painful, but now she is new again and for that we are grateful. Thank you God for the life and love of Annie Mauck.

Aunt Ann, you were like my 2nd mother. You took care of me when my parents went out of town, you always had your door open for me, and listened to anything I needed to say. I love you and will miss you and will miss our little talks. I've just received another guardian angel watching over me.
