Daniel Burner Obituary

Daniel F. Burner, Jr., 84, of Woodstock, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2011 at his home.

A funeral mass will be held Wednesday, May 11 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Bosco Roman Catholic Church in Woodstock. Father Martinez will officiate. Burial will follow in Massanutten Cemetery in Woodstock.

Mr. Burner was born March 31, 1927 in Ft. Myers, Florida, son of the late Daniel F. Burner Sr. and Martha Hitchcock Burner.

He graduated from the University of Miami and was a self-employed architect having worked in VA, NC, and FL. He was a member of St. John Bosco Roman Catholic Church and the American Institute of Architects.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Judith E. Burner; son, Peter Brice Burner; and brother, William Stoddard Burner.

He is survived by two sons, Daniel F. Burner III of Woodstock and Paul Daniel Burner of Westport, CT; daughter, Martha A. Carlo of Dallas, TX; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. John Bosco Roman Catholic Church.
