Patsy Casteel Obituary
A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Maddox Funeral Home conducted by Samuel Campbell. Burial will follow in Bennett's Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Casteel was born July 10, 1937, in Front Royal, daughter of Ralph James Miller of Front Royal and the late Kathleen Bailey Miller.
She attended the Maryland Medical Secretarial School in Hagerstown, Maryland, and was a retired medical secretary for Dr. William E. Lynn and Dr. Edwin Eastham.
She was married to the late Joe Allen Casteel.
Mrs. Casteel owned and operated Casteel's Ceramics in Front Royal. Her hobbies included sewing, ceramics, oil painting, flower arranging, gardening, woodworking, and making stained glass, porcelain dolls, and jewelry.
She was a member of the Bennett's Chapel United Methodist Church.
Surviving with her father are her daughter, Yvonne Casteel Palmer of Winchester; a brother, Larry Miller of Front Royal and his wife Doris; a brother-in-law, Don Casteel of Harrisonburg and his wife Cathy; a granddaughter, Christina Palmer Cherry of Winchester and her husband Nick; and the light of her life, a great-granddaughter Jo Ann Cherry of Winchester.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Warren County, 1245 Progress Drive, Front Royal, VA 22630.
