Ruby Himelright Obituary
Ruby Ellen Lindamood Miller Himelright, 97, of Lebanon Church passed away on December 2, 2009 at the Skyline Terrace Nursing Home in Woodstock.
Ruby was born at Lebanon Church on November 2, 1912 a daughter of the late J. Frank Lindamood and Mary E. Singhass Lindamood. She was a member of Lebanon Lutheran Church. She worked at the Silk Mill in Strasburg and the Blue Bell in Woodstock until becoming a homemaker.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Hunter Miller and second husband, Erol Leslie Himelright. As well as a brother, Paul Lindamood, a sister, Elizabeth Pingley, two sons, Erol L. Himelright, Jr. and Erol William Himelright and several stepchildren. Survivors include a son Robert L. Miller of Middletown, daughters Patsy R. Wymer of Strasburg, Dorothy E. Miller of Middletown and Shirley A. Brill of Star Tannery, Betty Lou Vaughn of Winchester, granddaughter Teresa Stickley Funkhouser of Toms Brook, whom she raised and stepson Floyd T. Himelright, sister Nina M. Pangle of Toms Brook along with a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and great-great-great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 2pm on Sunday, December 6 at The Lebanon Church Cemetery. Officiating will be Pastor Lee Brumback.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Aviary Fund at Skyline Terrace Nursing Home, P.O. Box 558, Woodstock, VA 22664.
