Andy and I went through 1-12th school together. We also were cousins of a mutual cousin so almost family. He was one of the most principled men I’ve ever known.

I remember Andy as a little boy on 10th Street in West Des Moines. He was such a cutie. We had the most wonderful neighborhood. All the kids were close because the families were close. I was sorry to hear of Andy's death. He and my brother, Fred, played Little League baseball together and John and I went through grade school together. Janie Meyer Hall (Sunrise Beach, MO)

Hail and farewell Andy;
May we one day again turn a double play ("zee dubs") on a diamond greater than that of the West Des Moines Babe Ruth League while your dad John shouts from the dugout "way to go boys!"
With fond memories of all of your family and the old days.

My sympathies to all of you. It has been a long time, but I have wonderful childhood memories of Andy at 4th of July Romeo picnics in Pioneer Park. He was older than me but still so much fun to be around. Those were the days! As I grew older, he always knew me when he saw me, had something to say that would make me smile, and left me better than I was before.
