Beverly Clare Boggs

1952 - 2019

Beverly Clare Dunbar Boggs, age 66, of Niceville, FL, passed away on February 25, 2019, after a brief illness. Clare was born in Troy, PA, May 26, 1952, to Stuart and Lila Dunbar. Clare's early years were spent in Elmira Heights, NY, where she attended high school. Clare graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1975, then received her MBA degree from Pepperdine University in 1982. She began her work career in Los Angeles with Rockwell International. While in Los Angeles Clare met and married Bob Boggs on June 15th, 1989.
Clare and Bob were fortunate to relocate to Niceville, FL in 1999 with Bob's career at Rockwell (which later became Boeing). Upon leaving California, Clare retired from Rockwell which allowed time for her to revive her childhood love of music. The love of music allowed her to serve in the "Joyful Praise" and Chancel choirs and "Sound of Praise" orchestra at church and also the Emerald Coast Band. Her love of music served to deepen Clare's faith.
Clare was blessed to be able to enjoy many travels throughout the world with her husband Bob and their friends. These travels, especially cruises, brought her much joy and love by planning, experiencing, and sharing these memories through moving DVDs.
Clare was a regular on the golf course at Bluewater Bay and traveled to many other golf courses sharing much laughter and comradery with her golf "family", as well as many other groups of devoted friends.
Bob and Clare have been members of the Crosspoint United Methodist Church family in Niceville since June 15th, 2008, where they found support to grow their faith and to understand God's love through fellowship within different groups.
Clare was predeceased by her parents, her brothers Curtis and John Dunbar and by her sister Erma Chrzan. She is survived by her loving husband Bob, mother-in-law June, and brother-in-law Wade; her two puppies Murphy Mae and Sweet "T"; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life is planned for Saturday, June 15th, 2019, at 2 PM at Crosspoint UMC, Niceville, FL with a time of fellowship and sharing to follow at 4:30 PM at the Bluewater Bay Golf Course Clubhouse & Restaurant.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Clare's memory may be made to Crosspoint UMC, designated to the "Traditional Music Ministry."
