Steven Strait Obituary

Steven E Strait, born 06 January 1943 passed from this earth at his home 29 April 2020. Steve or "Strait" was born in Iowa and spent most of his life working in agriculture and related industries. After retirement he and Marla, his wife of nearly 52 years, moved to Niceville, Florida where he served as treasurer at Sharing and Caring and the Fire Department. Steve earned a reputation as a tireless penny chaser who worked hard to preserve his organization's financial stability. He was also very active at Crosspoint where he was a strong advocate for children and adults in crisis. When he wasn't volunteering he loved to fish and work on Marla's never ending list of woodworking projects.

Steve is survived by Marla, four children, Sandra, Gary, Donald and Sean, sisters Pauline and Donna, multiple grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was a man of Christ, family, and community. Last but certainly not least, Steve was a proud Marine. Semper Fi. Expressions of love and sympathy maybe be placed or viewed at www.mclaughlintwincitiesfuneralhome.com.

We are sorry to hear of Steven's passing and carry memories of him through the computer club in Greeley. I remember him especially as president of the group about the time that I joined it. He was personable, conscientious, and helpful to me and the others. May you be held in God's grace and promises through this time.
