Susie Thomas Obituary

Susie Mae (Gautney) Thomas, 92, passed away Friday, Nov. 23, 2007 at her home surrounded by many loved ones. She was a lifelong resident of Walton County, a charter member of Paxton Assembly of God, member of the Paxton Garden Club and a volunteer with senior citizens.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Raleigh Thomas; son, Melvin Thomas; two great-grandchildren; and parents.

Survivors are one daughter, Annie Sue and Jackie Carnley of Milton, Fla.; four sons, W.R. (Bill) and Shirlen Thomas of Decatur, Ala., Robert E. (Bob) and Joyce Thomas of Paxton, Fla., Lowell and Jeneace Thomas of Eutaw, Ala., and Carl H. (Mickey) and Marianne Thomas of Wetumpka, Ala.; daughter-in-law, Vera Thomas of Paxton, Fla.; 19 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Elbert and Adelia Thomas; sister-in-law Maxine Thomas; numerous nieces, nephews and many special friends.

Viewing will be Monday, Nov. 26, 2007 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Paxton Assembly of God Church. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2007 at Paxton Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Ronnie Sexton officiating. Internment will be in the Paxton Cemetery.
