Michael Alan Roach, aka "Roach", age 28, born April 26, 1989. Born, lived, in McHenry, IL. Died August 31, 2017.
Michael had a huge heart. He would give you his last dollar if that's what was needed to better your situation. Michael touched everybody's life, some good, some bad, but always memorable and now that's all any of us have left of him. Michael struggled with his demons like so many out there do. Oh how he fought a good fight and with any good fight there can only be one winner...Michael had a relapse and his demons won.
He is peacefully in Heaven now with his Nana, Wanita L. Adams; Grandma, Irene Gamboa; his uncles, Kevin Allen Roach & Jr. Gamboa; and so many friends that lost their battles with their demons.
He is survived by Mom, Tammy L. Roach-Searcy; Step Dad, Terry W. Searcy; Father, Tony Gamboa; Step Mom, Krisse (Hensley) Gamboa; and Grandpa, Jake; Sisters, Lacy L. Searcy, Alexis B. Gamboa; Brothers, Campbell R. Searcy, Guy C Gamboa; his Niece, Coraline L. Brant, 2 1/2; and Cousins and those that Loved Him.
Friends and neighbors can gather Thursday September 7th from 4:00pm until 7:00pm Michael's celebration of life will be on Thursday September 7th at 7:00pm at the Justen Funeral Home, 3700 W Charles Miller Rd, McHenry. Interment will be on Friday September 8th graveside prayers will be at 10:00 am at Woodland Cemetery on Richmond Rd (Rte 31 North).
Memorials greatly would be appreciated from the youcairing and gofund.

I am so sorry for the loss of your son Michael. I know what it is like to lose a son, it is not something you get over. While I don't know Michael all that well my youngest son Willie went to school with Michael, and his dad Tony Gamboa worked for our roofing company for a long time. I will pray for all of Michael's family and am sending my condolences to all. Parents who have lost a child never get over it, there is a before and after no matter how that child died or what age they died. It is sad no matter what.

May God see how badly you are all suffering after this most difficult loss and I pray that he will help you through the pain and hurt you are feeling. It is hard not to ask why but God has infinite wisdom and must have decided he needed Michael by his side. Sending most sincere sympathy to each of you. Find some comfort in knowing one day we will all meet again.
