Mary Lou,
You probably don't remember me -- I'm your nephew John Jacob's mother-in-law (Sandie's mom, Pat). John told us last week that his uncle died, and we planned on going to the wake but it completely slipped my mind to get the details. Please accept our belated but sincerest and deepest sympathy on Norbert's passing. Although I didn't know him, there was a strong resemblance to his brother Bob, and I'm guessing he was the same kind of loving, kind and patient person that Bob was.
When John told us of his passing he also mentioned that he had gone to see Norbert the previous two Wednesdays and had a really nice visit and conversation with him each time. John said he was asking Norbert how you and he managed raising 9 kids. The whole concept just seemed to blow his mind, even though he was also from a family of 7. I think the young people today, don't realize all the good things about a large family.
Anyway, our apologies again for having missed the wake, but know that all of you have been and will be in our thoughts and prayers. May God bless you and help you get you through this most difficult first year.
