Ronald Most Obituary

Ronald Kurt Most Jr.
Born: August 23, 1959 in Chicago, IL
Died: July 7, 2025 in McHenry, IL
Ronald Kurt Most, Jr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2025, in McHenry, IL, at the age of 65. Born on August 23, 1959, in Chicago, IL, to the late Ronald and Mary Most, he grew up with a foundation of love that would define his entire life. Ron was the cherished patriarch of his family and a cornerstone of his community, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and dedication.
Ron met the love of his life, Lori Doner, and they were united in marriage on March 25, 1995, in Chicago, IL. Their union was a testament to mutual respect and adoration, and together they navigated the joys and challenges of life for over 30 years. The couple was blessed with a beautiful family, including their children Matthew, Michelle (Shawn), Corey (Sarah), Brandon, and Austin and their adored grandchildren Tristan, Aidan, and Damian. Ron also leaves behind two aunts, many cousins, and a host of friends who were like family to him.
A gifted mechanic, Ron followed in his father's footsteps and with his guidance, they built a 1971 Camaro that was not only a symbol of their shared passion but also a representation of their bond. His career was marked by the same precision and attention to detail that he applied to every aspect of his life. Ron's generous spirit and willingness to lend a hand made him a valued colleague and a mentor to many.
Ron's passions extended beyond his workbench. He was a man who lived life to the fullest, whether he was drag racing, which gave him a sense of exhilaration and freedom, or fishing, where he found tranquility and connection with nature. His love for these activities was only surpassed by the joy he found in spending time with his family. His presence at family gatherings was a source of comfort and joy, and his absence will be profoundly felt by all who knew him.
Described by those who knew him as detail-oriented, generous, and the epitome of a loving, caring, and selfless individual, Ron welcomed everyone
with open arms. He was everyone's friend and had a unique ability to make people feel seen and valued. His legacy is one of love and service, and he will be remembered as someone who always put the needs of others before his own.
Ronald Kurt Most, Jr. was a man who lived his life with passion and purpose. He was handy and could fix almost anything, a trait that served him well both professionally and personally. His passion for life and his love for his family were evident in everything he did. He will be dearly missed, but his memory will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.
As we say goodbye to Ronald, we celebrate a life well-lived and a man well-loved. His example of love, generosity, and friendship will continue to guide us, and his memory will be cherished forever. Ron's family finds comfort in knowing that he is now reunited with his beloved parents, Ronald and Mary Most, and his grandparents, Phil and Tillie Zagone. His spirit lives on in the hearts of his family and friends, and his legacy will be carried forward by those who were touched by his extraordinary life.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 13, 2025, from 3-8 pm at the Justen Funeral Home, 3700 W. Charles Miller Road, McHenry, IL. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, July 14, 2025, at 11:00 am at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, 1401 N. Richmond Road, McHenry, IL.

Lori and kids. I was so sorry to hear of the loss of Ron. It was not so long ago that I saw his smiling face. Even though I could not be with you all today to hold your hand or give you a hug, my thoughts were with you. Your wonderful memories will eventually give you peace. With love aunt Jan
