CROWN POINT, IN - Darlene A. Sunny, age 79, of Crown Point, IN, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 15, 2023.

Darlene is survived by her sister, Lorraine (John) Weszely; special Aunt to: David Jr., Heidi and Bob Weszely, Ron, Steve and Jennifer Bara, Michelle, David and Kenny Sunny.

Darlene was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Sunny; and brother and sister-in-law, Bernie and Mary Ann Bara.

Darlene was a devoted parishioner of St. Matthias Catholic Church where she was an active member of the funeral choir and participated in the church's yearly rummage sale. Darlene was president of the Polish National Alliance Madam Curie. She was the former VP of Marketing for Guaranteed Reserve Insurance. Darlene was also an avid animal lover.

Friends may visit with the family on Friday, December 22, 2023 at GEISEN FUNERAL, CREMATION & RECEPTION CENTRE, 606 E. 113th Ave. Crown Point, IN 46307 from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Funeral Prayers will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at 9:15 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:00 a.m. at St. Matthias Catholic Church, 101 W. Burrell Dr. Crown Point, IN 46307 with Fr. James Wozniak officiating.

Interment to follow at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville, IN.
