I have know Dr. Jones since the early 70s as my principal, central administrator, but most of all as an ardent supporter of whatever idea I had in mind. I could always count on him - he supported my educational trip to Japan, my endeavor to get a classroom set of computers and start teaching computer art at Clark HS, and always listened to my crazy ideas if they were in the best interest of our students. He was a lot more prim and proper than I am, but he never shut me out of the conversations. He was a man of integrity and passion for education, and I totally respected him.

Oh my many good memories with Gary and the absolute love of his life, Marilyn. He and your Mom certainly dedicated their life to the children of
Hammond and were involved in so many things for the betterment of kids..they were visionaries.
It was our pleasure to have called them friends!
It is either sadness that I will not get to meet you and your family personally. Your Dad would understand and your Mom would love it...I´m taking my Australian friends to a Purdue basketball game Saturday. You have my deepest sympathy for the loss of a great guy.( Wally passed way July 2023)
