Irmgard Gross Obituary

Irmgard Gross Valparaiso, IN Irmgard Gross, age 83, of Valparaiso, IN, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2007 at Porter Hospital. She was born April 25, 1924 in Hammond, IN, the daughter of Louis and Hella (Schuerzeberg) Hendrich, was an alumnus of Valparaiso High School, a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and had co-owned and operated Hilltop Photo Studio from 1959-1987 in Valparaiso. Irmgard returned with her family to Germany in 1939 where she married Werner E. Gross on September 30, 1944 and he preceded her in death on August 5, 1990. Survivors include their two sons: Dietmar (Lee) Gross of Valparaiso, IN and Wilfried "Will" (Arlene) Gross of Valparaiso, IN; one brother, Ludwig "Fritz" Hendrich of Valparaiso, IN; six grandchildren: Erich (Rev. Sue Gaeta) Gross, Dr. Kristin (Dr. Ryan) Jackson, David (Dr. Kristin Busse) Gross, Maria (Joshua) Starr and Holly and Richard Gross; three great-grandchildren: Evan and Davis Jackson and Claire Starr. Preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Ursula; and one brother, Rudolph. A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 18, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Road, Valparaiso, IN., with the Rev. Fred Niedner officiating. Burial to follow at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the VNA Foundation. MoellerFuneralHome.com.
