John Davis Obituary

JOHN SHELTON DAVIS VALPARAISO, IN John Shelton Davis, 28 of Valparaiso passed away suddenly on Tuesday, January 3, 2017. He was born November 9, 1988 in Valparaiso to Richard and Patricia (Schwyn) Davis. John was a 2007 graduate of Valparaiso High School. He was currently studying Information Technology at Ivy Tech, Valparaiso and working at Gelsosomo's in Valparaiso. John had a passion for music festivals and craft beer. He enjoyed spending time at Oliver Lake, especially conducting the 4th of July firework display. John loved the outdoors. He was an expert snow skier and recently took up hiking with his girlfriend, Ness. John also had a love for animals and rescued many. His family and friends will miss his kindness, gentleness, and love of life. John is survived by his parents, Patricia Davis of Washington State and Richard Davis of Valparaiso; sister, Molly Davis of New Hampshire; girlfriend, Ness Carter; and numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, January 8, 2017 at 11:30 AM at Moeller Funeral Home 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso. Visitation will be on Saturday from 1:00-5:00 PM and Sunday from 10:30 AM until the time of service. Cremation will take place at Angelcrest Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the Porter County Animal Shelter or the donor's favorite charity.
