DeBoer Family, This is a beautiful poem that I received from a relative that lost her son many many years ago. She passed on to me after the loss of my son a year and a half ago. And now I wish to pass it on to you. Know that there are many people praying for comfort and peace for you and your family and friends.
The Broken Chain
We little knew that day, God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly,in death we do the same. You did not go alone, for part of us went with you, the day God called you home. You left us your beautiful memories, your love is still our guide; tho' we cannot see you, you're always at our side. Our family chain is broken, nothing seems the same, but God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.

Dear Dan, Ann, Katie, and Michele (and the rest of the DeBoer family) We cannot express how sorry we are in the sudden loss of your son. We will be praying for your family today and always. Dear DeBoer Family,
Words can't express the sadness in our hearts for your great loss. Know that our prayers are lifting you up during the days and weeks to follow. We know that God's grace will be new every morning and He is faithful, but that doesn't mean we can't and won't be very sad. He knows your sorrow and will walk through this valley with you, never leaving you in the valley alone. When you don't know how to pray, know that we will be praying for you.

A life cut short of time aches the soul and breaks our hearts. May his family find strength thru God's love and the love of each other. There are no words on this earth that can heal such pain.
