Mark Joseph DeVany, age 69, of Merrillville, IN, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2024.
Mark is survived by his sister, Nancy DeVany; sister-in-law, Dora DeVany; nieces: Minerva and Mary Ellen; and nephews: Humberto, Kevin and Michael.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents: John and Joan DeVany; and brother, Kevin DeVany.
Mark worked for over 40 years at the steel mills in East Chicago. He loved baseball and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and longtime season ticket holder. Mark played baseball for both the Merrillville Little League and the Merrillville Senior League. He also played Biddy Basketball and enjoyed attending the Senior League World Series at Junedale.
Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, January 2, 2025 at Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre, 606 E. 113th Ave., Crown Point, IN 46307 from 10:00 AM until the time of Funeral Service at 12:00 PM.
Interment to follow at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville, IN.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Mark's name to the NWI Food Bank.
