Mona Stern Obituary
-
GARY, IN - Mona K. Stern, wife of Mark J. Stern for over 64 wonderful years, daughter of George and Sonia (Cogan) Kaufman, died on October 7, 2023.
She is survived by her husband, Mark, her children, Julie (Jon), Perry (Diane) and Sharon Kahn (Bradley), and five grandchildren.
Mona was a physician in the Gary area for many years. Burial in the Temple Israel Cemetery has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the ACLU, Southern Poverty Law Center, Doctors Without Borders or Temple Israel where she was a member for over 60 years. A special thanks to Dunes Hospice and Amada Healthcare for easing her last days.
