Paul H. Hoffman was born at their family home in St. John, IN on February 17, 1941, to his parents Herbert J. Hoffman & Coletta (Stark) Hoffman, who have preceded him in death.
Paul would often say he "lived a wonderful life". He is survived by his loving wife, Jan (Wille) Hoffman; by his sons: Paul J. (Lynn) Hoffman, Joel (Sarah) Hoffman; & bonus daughter, Judie K. Stein. Grandchildren: Thomas, Riley & Ava Hoffman. Bonus grandchildren: Tyler (Kristyn) Hedrick, Natalie (Jake) Gesse, Ginger Hedrick, Olivia & Emma Harding; and great-granddaughter, Addison Hedrick. He is survived by many siblings: Eileen (Ron) Szymborski, Shirley (Dennis) Boswinkle, Mary K. Cashman, Joseph A. Hoffman & Janette (Steve) Jones; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces & nephews. Paul is also survived by Jan's children: Michelle Hedrick, Michael (Liza) Sayre, and Marlo (Brian) Harding.
Paul is preceded in death by his baby sister, Carol Jean; and his former wife, JoAnn Schrementi Hoffman.
Paul graduated from Dyer High School in 1959. He was a man of many talents. He loved his corvettes & was in the car business for many years. He was the General Manager for the Red Lion Restaurant. He was co-owner of multiple nightclubs, including The Poison Apple in Illinois. He was a hardworking and successful Property Developer & Real Estate Broker for Prudential & Century 21. Paul & Jan were active members of the First Christian Reformed Church.
Paul was an avid golfer and water/snow skier. He enjoyed caring for the home he shared with Jan in Crown Point, IN as well as gardening. Paul was a veteran of the US Army from 1959-1961 and served as a Paratrooper/Medic in the 101st Airborne Division. Paul never knew a stranger and would often be found sharing stories. He will be missed by many.
Paul's visitation will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre, 606 E. 113th Ave. Crown Point, IN 46307 from 2pm-4pm with a Memorial Service at 4pm.
