Ralph Maravilla Obituary
Ralph Maravilla, age 79, of East Chicago, Indiana, passed away, Saturday, December 6, 2025.
Ralph is survived by his wife, Maria Duarte; 6 stepchildren, Amalia, Jose, Dario, Rosio, David, and Alex; 23 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; 5 siblings, Hope (late Jim) Laureano, Catherine (late, Manuel) Rodriguez, Virginia (Art) Lozano, Gregory (Rosie) Quiroz, and Mary (Tony) Monteleone; family in South Bend along with 11 nieces and nephews and cousins; and his cat, Sylvester. Preceded in death by birth mother, Concepcion (Gregory E.) Quiroz; parents, Jose and Rafaela Maravilla; and brother, Paul Quiroz.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025 from 1:00 to 5:00 pm at FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, Indiana, prayer services at 4:30 pm with The Rev. Terry Steffens officiating. Private cremation to follow.
Ralph retired from Inland Steel Company with over 42 years of service; member of United Steelworkers Union Local #1010 and active in union affairs; a member of Inland Steel 25 Year Club. He enjoyed old school music, dancing and grilling for family members, especially at the Maravilla family reunion. Ralph was a very friendly, loving and likeable person; always ready to help others.
