RYAN A. SKAGGS

Ryan A. Skaggs WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP - Ryan A. Skaggs, 37, of Washington Township passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2018. He was born April 3, 1981 in Valparaiso and graduated from Washington Township High School in 1999. Ryan had just been advanced to the Apprentice program with Carpenters Local #1055. Music defined his life, playing guitar, attending concerts and assisting the sound techs was what he looked forward to. His outgoing and energetic personality endeared him to friends and family alike. Although his persistent style annoyed his big brothers while growing up, it became a point of pride in adulthood. Survivors include his son, Aidan Skaggs, parents, Rick and Carol Skaggs, brothers, Shawn (Jacquelyn) Skaggs, Christopher (Christi) Skaggs, grandparents, John and Joanne Downing, niece and nephew, Lily and Logan Skaggs, great aunt, Charlotte Doepping and the mother of his son, Melissa Montalvo Skaggs. He was preceded in death by grandparents Clifton and Mazie Skaggs.His memory will be cherished by all. A visitation will be held Sunday from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. at MOELLER FUNERAL HOME with funeral service beginning at 2:30 p.m., Rev. Joseph Ostafinski officiating and cremation to follow.
