Scott Attar Obituary

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Scott Andrew Attar, age 56, of Chicago, IL. After a courageous battle with cancer and undergoing a stem cell transplant, Scott passed away peacefully on Friday, May 30, 2025, surrounded by the love of family.
Scott was born on February 2, 1969 to Andrew and Judi Attar and grew up in Merrillville, IN. He is survived by his mother, Judi A. Attar; and siblings: Andrew A. Attar (Kari Sherman), Jodi A. Attar, and Jennifer A. Attar Keagy (Kelly Keagy). Scott was preceded in death by his father, Andrew A.A. Attar, and brother, Jeffrey J. Attar. Scott held a special bond with his nieces and nephews: Kelsi and Adam Attar; Jacob, Kory, and Alex Attar; and Collin and Kirstin Gee (Attar). Scott was also a beloved godfather to Kory Attar, Kirstin Gee (Attar), Colt Withey, Lyla Pala, and Nate Mayer-a role he embraced with great pride and joy.
