Steve Zaborski Obituary

Steve A. Zaborski Portage, MI Steve A. Zaborski went to be with the Lord Friday, July 13, 2007 at his home in Portage, MI. Steve was born in East Chicago, IN, the son of Steve and Anna (Krivocic) Zaborski and lived the majority of his life in Calumet City, IL. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, Company M 112th Infantry, and 28th Division during WWII. He retired from Inland Steel and was a member of American Legion 830. He was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers. Surviving is his wife of 65 years, Julia (Gajda), two children, Karen (John) Filter of Kalamazoo and Thomas (Joan) Zaborski of Las Vegas, NV, three grandchildren: Marjorie Zaborski, Ryan O'Connor and Lauren O'Connor; brother, George (Anna) Zaborski of Chicago, IL. Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Catherine of Sienna Church in Portage, MI on Monday, July 16, 2007 with Father Bob Gerl as Celebrant. Interment was in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Kalamazoo, MI. Memorials may be made to Borgess VNA Hospice or the charity of the Donor's choice. Arrangements by Redmond Funeral Home, 4100 S. Westnedge Ave., Kalamazoo, MI 49008 (269) 343-6156.
