Valerie J. Goginsky, age 63. Late of Crown Point, Indiana. Passed away January 2, 2025 after a long courageous battle with cancer. Beloved sister of Phillip (Cheryl) Goginsky, Dennis (Mary) Goginsky, Regina (David) Rush, Janet (David) Slupczynski and sister-in-law of Diane Peterson. Loving aunt of David Anthony, Scott, Eric, Matthew, Peter, Anna, Aaron, Jacob, Adam, Zachary, and Lorna. Dear friend of Roy. Preceded in death by parents Peter and Helen Goginsky and siblings David Peterson and Sr. Bernadine Goginsky, PHJC. Valerie attended Morton Senior High School (class '79) and IU Bloomington. She brought a little sparkle to everywhere she went. Valerie loved to have fun, dance, sing and play cards. She was an avid Chicago Cubs, Bears, and Patrick Mahomes fan.Special thank you to all her caregivers at Majestic Care, Crown Point.

Visitation Friday, January 17, 2025 from 4–8 pm at the Elmwood Funeral Chapel, 11300 W. 97th Lane (1/2 block west of US 41/Wicker Ave. at 97th LN.) St. John. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 10:00 am DIRECTLY at St. John the Evangelist Church – Day Chapel 11301 W. 93rd Ave. (Corner of 93rd and 41).
