Vladimir "Loddy" Lissy Whiting Vladimir "Loddy" Lissy, age 79, of Whiting, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2004 at St. Margaret Hospital, Hammond. He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Anne "Honey" (nee Petrigan); Dearest sons, Mark (Doreen) Lissy of Munster and Terry (Rene') Lissy of Portage. Loving grandfather to Katie, Jamie, Christin and Corey and Beloved brother to Eleanor (Jake) Biel and Anthony Lissy, both of Whiting. Preceded in death by his parents, Anton and Anne Lissy. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 6, 2004 at 9:30 a.m. at the Baran Funeral Home, 1235 -119th St., Whiting, IN, and 10 a.m. at St. Adalbert Catholic Church, Indianapolis Blvd. & 121st St., Whiting, with the Rev. John E. Kalicky, C.PP.S. officiating. Burial, St. John Cemetery, Hammond. Visitation at the funeral home on Monday from 3 to 9 p.m. Mr. Lissy was a member of the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Whiting (whose members will offer prayers along with the Rosary Society at 4 p.m.); member of Whiting Knights of Columbus Pope John XXIII Council 1696 (who will offer prayers at 7:30 p.m.); Knights of Columbus Wives Club service at 7:15 p.m.; Daughters of Isabella service at 3:00 p.m.; member of American Legion Post #80 with services at 8 p.m.; member of the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association Br. #81; a WWII Navy Veteran and retired from American Maize Company with 22 years of service. 219-659-4400
